MX 5 Miata Workshop ManualReview date: 2010-03-03 Rating: 8 out of 10This is a very in depth manual and clearly ideal for the owner who wants to work on his/her own vehicle at any level. I think it is worth mentioning however that as the owner of an X reg (2000) 1.8 MZ5 Mk2 that this manual does apparently cover the needs of the Mk 2 quite adequately, as the engine and much of the vehicle is the same. This however is not very obvious when looking for such a manual for the Mk2, so it would be much better and more logical to advertise that fact on the front cover of the Mk 1 manuals so people know. It would save having to dig and research to get that information as there is no manual for the Mk 2 in existance.Great ResourceReview date: 2010-03-02 Rating: 10 out of 10This shop manual is a great asset to owning my miata. However they are only sporadically in print anymore so if you see a copy, scoop it up as soon as you can.
Essential reading for MX5 ownersReview date: 2009-05-03 Rating: 10 out of 10This is a thorough and well-written manual which explains how the various sytems work as well as how to maintain the car. Procedures are cearly laid out, including work arounds to minimise the need for special tools, and potential hazards are clearly identified. It is essential reading for the DIY'er and will be of interest to any MX5/Eunos owners wanting to understand their car a little better. Granted the pictures are in black and white but most are still clear enough for their purpose. Readers should be aware that this is an American manual and based on a LHD strip and rebuild but differences for the RHD version are explained in the text. Good value on Amazon but perhaps a little over priced in some quarters. The definitive workshop manual for MX-5 & Eunos ownersReview date: 2007-09-03 Rating: 8 out of 10Very thorough, much better than any Haynes manual i've used, would have given this manual 5 stars but I felt for the price you should at least get colour photos. A must for any MX-5 1.8 (Eunos & Miata too) owners and the first manual you'll reach for when working on your car.
